Phytochem. investigation of Bignonia unguis-cati L. led to the isolation and identification of the alkaloid hydroxy-3-stachydrine and the flavonoid glycoside pectolinargenin-7-O-β-D-glucoside. Also quercetin, quercetin-3-Me ether, luteolin, ursolic acid and β-sitosterol were isolated. The identification of the isolated compds. was established through spectral anal. as well as by direct comparison with ref. materials.
