A variety of 2,4 (1H, 3H) quinazolinediones were converted into the corresponding potassium salts, and then allowed to react with some halogen-containing compounds. The structures of the derivatives thus prepared, were confirmed by elemental, JR, 1H-NMR and MS spectral data. Testing for anticonvulsant and hypnotic activities in frogs is also presented.
